What We Provide

Dream Fellows is a program that offers spiritual formation, encourages innovation, and inspires individuals to pursue God-sized dreams. Our mission is to equip and support dreamers as they strive to make a positive impact in the world by providing resources, mentorship, and a supportive network of like-minded individuals. We believe that through faith, creativity, and collaboration, anything is possible.

Spiritual Formation

We offer a spiritual formation program designed to help you deepen your relationship with God and others. Our mentors and coaches provide guidance and support as you cultivate practices such as prayer, meditation, Bible study, and community building. This allows you to invest in your spiritual growth and understand how you are uniquely wired.

Innovation

We believe in creating solutions and having a positive Kingdom impact. Our program equips you with the skills to lead with creativity, passion, strategic thinking, and excellence. We want to help you become a leader who makes a meaningful difference in the world

God-Sized Dreams

"Show me the size of your dream, and I'll show you the size of your God." — Pastor Mark Batterson

At Dream Fellows, we believe in helping you develop and realize your God-sized dream. Our program offers practical tools and training to help you cultivate your unique talents and skills, and turn your vision into reality.

Your week will be filled with both individual and group growth.

Huddles

You will participate in weekly huddles with esteemed leaders in ministry, including Pastor Mark Batterson and other innovative leaders. These sessions cover various formal learning topics tailored to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary for personal and professional success. Engage in deep community-building activities with your peers, including group discussions around current issues, spiritual formation and leadership in an environment of radical candor where you can hold each other accountable for growth.

Labs

Labs will help you develop the innovative mindset and critical thinking skills needed to succeed in today's rapidly-changing world. Participating in our interactive workshops will challenge you to approach problems from multiple angles and think outside the box. This thinking is essential for anyone looking to make a meaningful impact and drive positive change.

Practicum

Our practicum component will give you firsthand experience in local church ministry and your specific department. Participate in hands-on training, project ownership or development, managing and developing volunteers, participating in missions, and more. These experiences will give you the practical skills and valuable experience necessary to excel in what God has called you to do.

As a fellow, you'll be a part of the Dream Collective team at National Community Church.

With a 30-hour work week, 1:1 coaching, and a ministry practicum, you'll have a structured program that helps you grow in your personal and professional development. You'll attend chapel services, engage in community service projects, attend workshops and seminars, and have personal study time. You'll also have the opportunity to network and build relationships with other fellows and members of the Dream Collective team.

Still have questions?

What qualifications are you looking for?

Previous ministry and leadership experience is preferred, and specific experience in the desired ministry focus area is certainly favored. We also look for people with a clear sense of calling who dare to dream big dreams for the Kingdom of God. We are also big believers in attitude, flexibility, sense of humor, and ability to work within a team environment, so we weigh those heavily.

How long does the program run?

The Dream Fellows runs from September (the Thursday after Labor Day) through July (the last Sunday of July).

Is this just an internship?

No. It's much more. It's hands-on ministry, where you'll be treated as a staff member and held to the expectations of all other NCC staff members. You won't be treated like an "intern." You'll be viewed as a vital part of our staff team.

Is there a cost?

There is no cost to attend the Dream Fellows Program, but you will need the finances to support yourself and your family for one year in Washington, DC. You may accomplish this through fundraising, working a part-time job, or some combination of the two. If you are single, you should expect to need approximately $1500/month to cover rent, food, and other necessities to live in Washington, DC. NCC will cover all of your materials for the program. We offer a $500 stipend a month to help supplement the cost of living in DC.
